Jib cranes are a particular design of design of cranes in case of which a horizontal section called boom or jib, which supports a moveable hoist, is attached to a pillar screwed on to the ground or is attached to the wall.  The crane either remains fixed or can rotate through an arc. Sometimes a fork lift attachment is also fixed with portable jib cranes in order to safely handle loads that are difficult to balance because of their shapes.
